Penny Tompkins & James Lawley
Penny and James are co-developers of Symbolic Modelling and leading authorities on the use of David Grove’s Clean Language and self-generated metaphor for personal and professional development.
Penny and James are married and based in London where they run The Developing Company. For the last 30 years they have dedicated themselves to developing the developers of others. Their expertise is to facilitate people to see the repeating patterns in their lives, to recognise how these patterns can change, and to trust what emerges.
Their book, Metaphors in Mind was the first comprehensive guide to Symbolic Modelling and Clean Language which they also introduce in an Introductory Online Course. James co-authored with Marian Way, Insights in Space, the first book dedicated to Clean Space, and his latest book is the co-edited, Clean Language Interviewing.

Marian Way
Marian is a highly skilled facilitator and trainer who founded Clean Learning in 2001, and has developed and delivered training across the world. She is also a director of Training Attention CIC, a world leader in clean applications for corporate, educational and community development.
She is the author of Clean Approaches for Coaches, co-author, with James Lawley, of Insights in Space, and co-author with Caitlin Walker of So you want to be… #DramaFree.
Marian was a leading innovator within the Weight Watchers organisation, which included developing the “points” strategy, a local idea that went on to become a global innovation.
She designs programmes and workbooks, leads workshops and teaches in Great Britain, Russia, Sweden, Germany, Australia, Japan and the USA.
Marian is also a recognised Clean Assessor.

Annemiek van Helsdingen

Annemiek has used and taught Clean Language and Symbolic Modelling since 2005 in many application areas, including corporate change work, clean interviewing, education and personal development.
She is the founder of the Academy for Soul-based Coaching, an online Academy offering in-depth live training, where she and her team teach aspiring and trained coaches to use Symbolic Modelling in conjunction with 'holding space' to help their clients make the changes they want to make.
Annemiek lives in the Netherlands with her husband and daughter and thoroughly enjoys the global nature of her work. She wants nothing more than to see people access their inner magic, so they can take ownership of their lives and thrive, both as coaches and clients.
